In order to get our message accross to the masses we seek to tap into the supernatural creative power of the Holy Spirit (the infinite and ultimate source of ALL creativity) to dream God sized dreams, and produce Christ-centered music, media, and ministry tools that outshine the offerings of the traditional “mainstream” and marginalized “Christian” media on all levels including: spiritual depth & integrity, sonic innovation & quality, cultural relevance, creativity, meaning, purpose, and all around groovability. Our unique vision and value proposition is to launch these cultural resources and ministry tools into the "marketplace of ideas" and offer them into the world for public consumption and mass distribution absolutely free of charge! We at .::TheTurnSignal::. endeavor to do so in order that everyone on the planet - regardless of their race, background, culture, social status, or net worth - will have full and unfettered access to the soundtrack for the Brand New Thing that God is doing all over the world!

To us it’s not about selling "worship" products to churchgoers (i.e. “doves in the temple”) it’s about lifting up the Name of Jesus so that He might draw all men and women unto Himself. We mean no offense or disrespect to the Nashville Christian music cartel, and we do not in any way claim that our method of distributing worship tools is somehow more "spiritual" simply because we offer them for free. (We've all walked down the "for profit" route in the past ourselves.) To the contrary... we believe the "tycoons" of the "worship industry" are doing an excellent job at what they do... and are thankful that God has used them, blessed them, and prospered them in their efforts. But we must walk a different road now... freely we have received and so freely we must give! And we walk in assurance that God is always faithful and He continually meets all of our needs according to His riches in glory as we seek to build his Kingdom and restore His temple in the hearts and lives of the people He so dearly loves! By the grace of God... That's what we do!

>>>What We Believe...
The Bible encourages us to “know (e.g. ‘be fully aware’) those who labor among you…” so that no one will sneak in and wreak havoc in the house of God by spreading false doctrine or vain heresy. To that end, We trust that the following information will be helpful to you in assessing the heartbeat, mindset, and motivation of .::TheTurnSignal Movement::. Keep in mind that what follows is not meant to serve as a full doctrinal thesis on every aspect of our Christian values, but hopefully it will give you a clear insight into the Truth that unites us.

We hold these truths to be self evident… We believe that there is only ONE TRUE GOD (manifesting himself as Father, Son, Holy Spirit) who has existed for all eternity and who alone created the universe and everything in it.

We believe that this ONE TRUE GOD has fully expressed himself to us in the person, work, and Name of JESUS CHRIST, and furthermore that he continues to reveal himself to us through his infallible Word as recorded for us in The Bible.

We believe that this same Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, that he walked the earth in bodily form (totally God/totally man) for 33 years during which time he performed many compassionate, and astounding miracles; and taught with authority the amazing truths of the gospel whereby he revealed himself to be God in the flesh.

We believe that He died on the cross for our sins according to the scriptures, that he was buried, and that he rose again on the third day according to the scriptures, and in so doing He alone became the utter fulfillment of every prophecy which God had spoken of the Messiah through his people the Jews. Because of this we take him at his word and believe that He is the Way… the Truth… and the Life and that no man will come unto the father, or enter the Kingdom of God, accept through Him.

Through him we believe that our sins can be forgiven because of the atoning sacrifice of his blood shed on the cross. And furthermore we believe that Christ Has empowered us as believers by His Spirit and His Word with everything we need to live a holy, righteous, overcoming, and abundant life upon this earth as we await His soon coming return.

We believe that everyone who seeks an authentic relationship with Christ must come to him humbly in full repentance of sin, and should be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of their sins as an overt public testimony of God’s inner work of grace, and that in turn every Christian believer shall receive the promise of the Holy Spirit! (Acts 2:38).

We believe that God is pouring out his Spirit upon all flesh in the last days just as He promised, and is infusing His people (i.e. the body of Christ, the church, the saints, kings & priests, the chosen nation, the royal priesthood, the fellowship of believers, etc…) with the power to spread the gospel to the ends of the earth before His imminent return!

We believe that all true followers of Christ, must also be true worhipers of Christ... worshiping him in Spirit & Truth, in word and in deed! We believe that scriptural worship is much much more than just the routine act of "going to church". There is infinitely more to worship than merely singing cheesy "church" songs or worship choruses on infinite repeat and going through the well-choreographed motions of raising your hands and squinting your eyes and trying to "look" spiritual while the music is playing. It is far more than just sitting through another sermon of "3 points and a poem". Those things if rightly offered to the Lord can of course all serve as a part of a life of worship... but there again they are only a part (not the whole). We instead believe that a true believers will endeavor to make his or her entire life and lifestyle a "living sacrifice" of worship as an acceptable offering to the Lord... and that one natural outgrowth of this kind of Christ-centered lifestyle of worship will of course inevitably bring about a desire to worship Christ corporately in a local fellowship of bible believing Christian who are excited about offering the Lord Psalms, Hymns, and Spiritual songs of praise & worship and meeting together regularly to study and grow in the grace & knowledge of God's Word. But in the end we believe that you must be just as much a worshiper of God standing in line at the grocery store, or sitting at your desk at work/school as you are when you are standing in a congreagation lifting your hands and singing God songs!

And yes, we are wacky enough to believe that everyone involved in our fellowship of faith within the .::TurnSignaL Movement::. is fully capable of being used by God as an “activist” for the cause of Christ in both radically overt and subtly influential ways to communicate the awesome Love of God to people on the frontlines of both “Christian” and “secular” culture in a manner that is all at once real, relevant, and revolutionary! We do not believe that we have yet attained these things, but for the cause of Christ we press on and run the race before us to ultimately win the prize of hearing Christ say "well done! My Good and faithful servant."

The .::TurnSignaL Movement::. Began in earnest approximately 2000 years ago as a small insurgent sect of Jewish believers and a handful of gentile converts set out to spread the good news of the gospel of salvation through the death, burial, and resurrection of their friend and Lord – Jesus Christ. As this tiny and inadequate group of disciples set out and began to minister this powerful truth of Jesus in the face of harsh ridicule, resistance, and persecution they ultimately sparked a revolution that literally turned the whole world upside down in their own lifetime and changed the course of history to a degree that is beyond the scope of human imagination or comprehension.

>>>fast forward a couple of thousand years from that point until the year 1998 and you will encounter another tiny little group of inadequate, yet devout group of followers of Christ who like their first century counterparts were desperate to do anything they could possibly do to spread the word about the life changing power of a relationship with their savior and friend – Jesus! What started as a small group bible study and worship band rehearsal for Jeffrey Hunter and the fellow members of Strangers & Pilgrims at a local church called Cathedral of the Cross in Birmingham, Alabama has since grown into an insurgent, full fledged worship ministry with world-wide implications and aspirations to “activate” a community of believers who will rise up and use any means necessary to alert the masses about the Brand New Thing that God is doing on this Earth in our time. We are compelled by the Spirit of Christ to leave no stone unturned, and no life untouched as we invade the cultures of the world to communicate the Love of Jesus in a real and relevant way.

This movement transcends the personalities of its earthly founder and activists, and seeks in every way to know nothing but Christ and him crucified. Because of this we are united in our faith that through Jesus we are destined to “Turn the whole world upside down” (Acts 17:6) in our lifetime. So rise up with us my friends! Now is the time! This is the place! And we are the People who will witness the fulfillment of the ages, and see with our own eyes the promised return of our Lord, Savior, & friend – Jesus Christ!

A world where the "church" isn't merely a "place to go" – it's WHO WE ARE as the body of Christ!

A world where Christian brothers and sisters of all background and walks of life dwell together in unity and brotherly love.

A world where Sunday is no longer the most racially and socially segregated / divided day of the week.

A world where "worship" is more than merely going through the motions of raising your hands and singing choruses on infinite repeat, it's a matter of surrendering your heart and offering the entirety of your being as a "living sacrifice" to God!

A world where houses of worship are consecrated as houses of prayer, and not degraded as dens of thieves by those selling "doves in the temple" for self-interested profit.

A world where "church service" isn't what happens for limited amounts of time on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings, but rather it is a 24 hour a day / 7 day a week reality for everyone who claims to follow Jesus.

A world where Christian artists and activists are on the forefront and leading edge of cultural influence, and not left "copy-catting" the "secular" world two years after they have moved on to something different.

A world where pastors, preachers, teachers, evangelists, worship leaders, etc… honestly care more about building the Kingdom of God one soul at a time than they do about building "tiny kingdoms" and shrines to their own egos.

A world where the Dove Award is a reference to the baptism of the Holy Spirit that was promised to all believers in Jesus Christ, and not some cheesy "look at me" ego stroking ceremony for the "tycoons" of the "worship industry". No offense...

A world where it's actually ok for Christians and non-Christians alike to walk into a church, be honest and admit out loud that they are not perfect, that they don’t have it all "figured out", and that occasionally they still struggle with the sinful desires of the flesh, instead putting on plastic smiley faces and playing "make believe" that everything is "ok".

A world where Christians are regarded for their radical, selfless LOVE – as opposed to self-righteous hypocrisy.

A world where building authentic Christian relationships that last a lifetime is more important than planning some over-hyped "event" that will be over in a day.

A world where we as a church concentrate our resources (time, money, prayer, labor, heart, soul, effort, love, etc…) to making well equipped, spiritually mature disciples out of people, instead of leaving people "stranded at the altar" with no clue where to go next once the evangelist is finished with his well rehearsed "repeat after me" prayer.

A world where obedience to God’s Word and standing in His presence matters infinitely more than the color of the carpet or the "style" of music that is played.

A world where we as a church don’t get so wrapped up in trying to do the "big" things and events that we fail to excel in the "small" things that really matter the most (i.e. the cup of cold water to those in need, and acts of kindness towards "the least of these")

A world where things like .::TheTurnSignaL Movement::. (and other like-minded outreach ministries) are a moot point, because we as the body of Christ are already actively seeking to live lives that are holy and set apart, focusing on using any Godly means available to communicate the awesome truths of the gospel in real and relevant ways to every tongue, tribe, and nation around the globe; and acting in Love to introduce everyone we personally encounter to our Lord, Savior, & Friend – Jesus Christ!

The TurnSignal Movement is all about the Quickening of Cultural Expression…
We exist on this planet to "Prepare the Way of the Lord" in the last days
by innovating… creating… elevating... and activating a Christ-centered culture and community in the hearts and minds of believers all over the world. We accomplish this by relentlessly pursuing, and defining, new standards of Excellence in culturally-relevant music & media ministry, Spirit-filled worship, scripture-based teaching, and relationship-based evangelism.

In doing this we seek to…

• To reach as many people as possible, in the shortest time possible, with the Power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to faithfully impact the lives of both Christian and secular audiences everywhere through a real and lasting encounter with the Spirit of God.

• To be an insurgent force of radically anointed and culturally relevant praise, worship, and testimonial music (i.e. psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs) whose power and spiritual significance can not be denied or avoided by consumers in the mainstream or Christian "marketplace of ideas".

• To go beyond the "four walls" and traditional "confines" of "the church" and its "stale religion" to invade the highways, byways, and airwaves of the world by declaring God's presence "in the marketplace daily" – in essence to become a "church without walls".

• To grow and excel in all aspects of our gifts and calling (both spiritually and practically) and to inspire this kind of Christ centered excellence in the lives and faith of all whom we encounter.

• To be faithful stewards of all spiritual, financial, and practical resources that God places in our care – believing that if we are faithful with little, God can entrust us with much.

• To surround ourselves and our ministry with wise spiritual, financial, and practical counselors and advisors and to submit ourselves and our ministry to all scriptural structures of accountability and Christ centered authority.

• To uphold the highest possible biblical standards of holiness and purity as they relate to both our individual lives and the collective ministry of The TurnSignal.

• To uphold the highest possible standards of excellence and professionalism throughout all aspects of planning, conducting, implementing, and executing the day to day disciplines of both our spiritual ministry and practical business affairs.

• To effectively partner and sustain long-term meaningful relationships with other innovative and like-minded churches, pastors, evangelists, artists, ministry groups, etc… for the purpose of sharing resources, talents, and ideas – believing that we can accomplish far more for by working together with others to build The Kingdom than we ever could by attempting to build "tiny kingdoms" on our own.

• To live simply and faithfully, trusting God to meet our personal and professional needs according to His will and His timing, and to conduct our lives in such a way that our individual lifestyles, choices, and personal freedoms will not be (or become) a hindrance to what God desires to accomplish through Strangers & Pilgrims.

There is much to be said on this subject, but not by us. God has his own thoughts as to what true worship is (and is not)... so i think we'll just let God speak for himself...

You must worship the Father in spirit & truth! (John 4:22-24)
"You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."

Your entire life must be an acceptable sacrifice to God (not just the songs you sing)! (Romans 12:1)
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a LIVING SACRIFICE, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service."


You should always make melody in your heart and express gratitude to God (not just when your favorite "Christian rock star" is playing your favorite song)! (Ephesians 5:15-20)
Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery; but be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with all your heart, ALWAYS and for everything giving thanks in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God the Father.

Sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs... but remember whatever you do do it ALL in the Name of Jesus! (Colossians 3:14-17)
And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teach and admonish one another in all wisdom, and sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

You can dance and shout and sing all you want but if your hearts not in it then God is not in it! (Isaiah 29:13)
